Gooseneck Kettle

A pour-over kettle whose spout narrows into a long, curved neck that tapers to a small opening. The geometry slows the stream and straightens it, so the brewer can control flow rate and landing point to within a centimeter or two.
Etymology
Named for its resemblance to a goose's neck. The form was borrowed from laboratory and metalware pouring vessels and entered specialty coffee in the 2000s as pour-over brewing spread.
In use
Used with V60, Chemex and similar drippers, where a slow spiraling pour keeps the coffee bed level and the extraction even.
